I work from my studio, which is nestled in the hills of Northland, surrounded by palms, pukekos and the sound of the sea.  Although the influence of my Dutch background plays a definite part in my award winning designs, the bold and abstract use of strong colours are predominantly inspired by my immediate  surroundings.

I prefer using natural fibres such as silk, possum, angora and merino wool, but the special effects and challenges manmade fibres offer, makes them an exciting medium to add.
